The Africa area of Animal Kingdom takes up the biggest chunk of the park.

You enter the Africa area by going through a recreated African village called Harambe, which is modeled as an East African coast town.

The city aspect really does make you feel like when you walk across the bridge into Harambe that you have just walked across the Atlantic to the African continent. The other aspect of the Africa area that makes it feel like you are in Africa is the wildlife in the recreated African habitats.
