Flame Tree BBQ has one of the better views in the park, with its tables on terraces down on Discovery River. The view is now even better now that Expedition Everest is completed and diners can watch that attraction while eating. The portions of BBQ meat are pretty large, so you might want to considering sharing portions. There are areas in the back that are covered and provide a restful respite while dining. Where do you find the best St. Louis Ribs this side of the Nile? Right under the thatched roofs of Discovery Island. And you can enjoy the best Carolina-style sauce in the whole savannah with your pulled pork sandwich. There is seating available right along the river—not the Mississippi but our own Discovery River. Hey, it's a small world after all. Features wood-roasted meats with a choice of two original barbecue sauce flavors -- a tomato-based sauce and a mustard-flavored creation -- plus a special dry marinade that is rubbed into the meat before cooking. Chef Hal Taylor says "it would have been easy to use an existing recipe for our barbecue sauce, but we wanted a unique product. We think it is so good guests will want to take some home." Disney Dining Experience 20% discount. |
