When you cross through the new entrance to Disney California Adventure, you enter the essence of the state of California, Disney style. Imagineers traveled all over the state while designing California Adventure, distilling the Golden State into 55 acres, skimming off the best and brightest parts to celebrate.

The sections of the theme park take their cues from the state - Hollywood Pictures Backlot, Paradise Pier, Golden State - and newer rides such as Arial's Undersea Adventure, Toy Story Midway Mania and Goofy's Sky School, allowed the Imagineers to create some new and fun experiences, a few of which are unique here among all the Disney theme parks. The new Buena Vista Street and Car's Land are under construction, and everyone is looking forward to their opening in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
