What's a Zoetrope, you say?
Well, it's a machine that creates the illusion of movement or action by presenting a rapidly changing sequence of images - actual three-dimensional models - of characters from both Toy Story films.
Woody rides a galloping Bullseye. Cowgirl Jessie jumps through a lasso. Buzz Lightyear bounces on a ball. The gumball machine aliens leap into a black hole. Even the little green army men parachute in.
Originally created for a Pixar art show at New York’s Museum of Modern Art, the spinning contraption creates the illusion of movement using marquettes and strobe lights.
