Here are some fun facts about Disney’s “Playhouse Disney Live on Stage!”
• The show features 25 characters and 25 songs and musical moments in its 23 minutes.
• A cast of only six puppeteers perform all 25 puppets. The set of puppets took about 16 weeks to build.
• The Mickey’s Clubhouse in the show is 24 feet tall.
• It takes about 400 lighting fixtures to light the show.
• Doug Wood, the show’s writer, has also written for Disney Channel shows such as “Handy Manny”
and “JoJo’s Circus,” and he helped create “Little Einsteins.”
• All of the characters in the show are voiced by the original actors from the popular Disney Channel
shows, including Wilmer Valderrama (voice of Handy Manny and better know from “That 70’s Show"),
Tom Kenny (voice of Pat the Hammer on “Handy Manny,”) and Carlos Alazraqui (voice of Felipe,
the Phillips screwdriver and is known as Deputy James Garcia on Comedy Central’s “Reno 911").
• The “Handy Manny Theme Song” was written by the Los Angeles rock band, Los Lobos.
