For the finale of the Great Movie Ride, both tracks meet in a large dark theatre. Ride vehicles line up next to one another and a fast-paced movie montage begins to play.

The films vary in style and era and are linked together by various soundtracks and sound cues. Famous movies from the 1920s until present day play, all evoking memories in the audience.

After the film has completed, the guide thanks everyone for visiting and the ride vehicles return to the sound stage area where more guests await their journey into the movies.

When designing the replica of Grauman's Chinese Theater, Imagineers used the blueprints of the original 1927 Meyer and Holler building for reference. The structure is built to full-scale.
