Located just to the left as you enter the park, Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind, an antiques and curios store, is the most interesting. With its bungalow-style architecture and 1930s phonograph music playing in the background, this very cool little shop might trick you into thinking it's actually a vintage store. Here you can find interesting items like the cancelled checks of Hollywood stars or jewelry worn by famous actresses, one-of-a-kind Hollywood celebrity collectibles, movie and television props. You can pick up autographed items ranging in age from the 1950s to now. There's a wide price range, too. An autographed picture of race-car driver Danica Patrick is available for a few hundred bucks, while Elizabeth Taylor's signature commands $1,400. Old movie posters and Disney animation cells also dot the shelves. Was Sid Cahuenga a real person? Read the Yesterland.com story by Werner Weiss to find out. |
