When Toon Town has closed for the night, the railroad station is still open, because it is actually connected to Fantasyland. Before Toontown depot was built, the station was known as Fantasyland Station, which has been updated several times since the opening of Disneyland in 1955.
The water tower here, unlike the tower in New Orleans Square, is purely decorative, and contains no water.
Along the way to Tomorrowland, if you look closely, you may catch of glimpse of the Roundhouse. This is the storage and maintenance building for the Disneyland Trains and the Disneyland Monorails.
