Glenn "Slippery" Hicks is a member of the Order of the Red Handkerchief, a club for Cast Members who worked as ride operators for the Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland. According to Disney Archives, Glenn is the retired Director of New Orleans Square, Bear Country, Adventureland and Frontierland. He also coached the winning company baseball team for years. On December 15, 2004, the 50th anniversary of his debut as "king of the wild frontier," the man known to millions as legendary frontiersman Davy Crockett was honoured with a tribute window. It is located above the newly renamed "Crockett & Russell Hat Co." store next to the Pioneer Mercantile. |
