Besides exploring Main Street U.S.A. on foot, guests can experience the area aboard a range of turn of the century vehicles that travel up and down the street.
The vehicles offer one way transportation from Town Square to Central Plaza where guests must alight to allow waiting guests to make the return trip.
Once aboard they immediately feel transported to another age with the "put-put" of the engine and the occasional honking of the brass horn to warn oncoming pedestrians of their presence.
Vehicles run seasonally and include a double decker omnibus, horseless carriages (jitneys), a fire truck (which is always popular with its shinning brass and waxed red paint work), and horse-drawn streetcars on the short journey down Main Street. |
