Space Mountain

The best Space Mountain fan website is at www.spacestation77.com.

Just inside Space Mountain, carefully read the planet names on the large "tracking" display... you'll see Disney Imagineering at work. There are two seperate departures, one leaving for Sirrius and another leaving for Very Sirrius. (serious and very serious)

The weather forcaster/traffic reporter wearing that skintight PVC suit in the preshow video for Space Mountain is played by Kelly Coffield, formerly on In Living Color.

Fifteen 2-car trains, 13 typically active, 4-6 riders per car.
Trains are numbered 1-31 because there is no number 13

As you exit your rocket and head back outside, be sure to look at the TV monitors -- you just might see yourself!

The Space Mountain attraction, the only Disney “mountain” not patterned after real geological formations, was almost named Space Port before Imagineers settled on the now famous moniker.

RCA was the official sponsor of Space Mountain from its opening in 1975 until 1993. Federal Express became the sponsor from 1994-2004.
