The French philosopher, Voltaire, once said: “Ice cream is exquisite. What a pity it isn't illegal." He was right if he was talking about Ghirardelli chocolates and ice creams as nothing that tastes that good can be on the right side of the law.
If Ghirardelli ice cream is a crime then the punishment is a couple of inches on the waistline, but who cares when you’re on vacation? Especially good are the Sundaes … so good, in fact, you should eat them on Mondaes and Tuesdaes and Wednesdaes … every "daes" of the week.
For many years, a bright colored parrot and the words,
"Say Gear-ar-delly," (a phonetic spelling of the name) were used to help solve the pronunciation problem. The strategy proved to be very successful.
