Hop on board the Marrakesh express for an experience into the wonders of mysterious Morocco. Roast lamb, chicken or veggie shish kebab, couscous, brochette of chicken and other North African delicacies await you in this intricate Sultan's palace.

One of the many delights of this exotic treat of a restaurant is the traditional belly dancers that entertain throughout the day. It's a hidden gem!

If you want to try something truly unique while visiting Epcot's World Showcase in Orlando, Florida, pay a visit to Restaurant Marrakesh at the Morocco pavilion. Restaurant Marrakesh serves up outstanding beef, lamb, chicken and couscous dishes at reasonable prices in an authentic Moroccan atmosphere. Here is a restaurant review of Restaurant Marrakesh.

Far too many visitors to Epcot's World Showcase settle for standard American fare when it comes time for lunch or dinner. Many grab burgers and fries at the Liberty Inn at the United States pavilion, and many head back to Future World to eat at the Grden Grill or the Coral Reef Restaurant. Some dine on steaks in Canada, bratwurst in Germany, escargot in France, or settle for the great American fallback, Asian cuisine in Japan or China. But if you truly desire something different, Morocco has just the ticket.

Restaurant Marrakesh serves delicious lunch and dinner dishes which include chicken couscous or kebabs, lemon chicken, couscous with lamb shanks, roast lamb meshoui, shish kebab, vegetable couscous, and a Royal Feast, which includes a little bit of just about everything. The food at Restaurant Marrakesh is superb, and the atmosphere is quite pleasing. You'll think you hopped a plane to Morocco for your meal.

Lunch menu items generally range from $15 to $25, dinner items from $20 to $40. If you are on a budget, or if you are not sure whether you will enjoy Moroccan food, I highly recommend you pay them a visit for lunch instead of dinner. Many of the menu items are the same, but lunch is significantly less expensive. To lower your bill even more, bring along your Disney Dining Experience card to save twenty percent.

If you are visiting Epcot's World Showcase with picky children, have no fear. Restaurant Marrakesh offers a kid's menu, complete with burgers, chicken tenders, even pasta with meatballs and tomato sauce.

Be sure to save room for dessert. Restaurant Marrakesh offers some unique sweets that are bound to please. They also serve up magnificent specialty drinks such as the Casablanca Sunset, the Sahara Splash, and the Marrakesh Express.

Inside the arched columns, beamed ceilings and massive carved wooden doors of Restaurant Marrakesh, the guest dining experience is transformed into a setting typical of an elaborate Southern Moroccan fortress. Its rich tones and textures compliment the aroma and taste of Moroccan foods such as couscous (a coarse wheat, steamed and served with lamb or chicken), bastila (a flaky chicken pie) and tangine djaj belhamed (stewed chicken in preserved lemons and olives). Sweetened tea or a steaming cup of Moroccan coffee rounds out the meal.

Adding authentic charm to the Restaurant Marrakesh experience, belly dancers accompanied by a Moroccan musician perform daily.
