After a good race or a long day on the slopes of Blizzard Beach, skiers (and swimmers) can come together and share stories over some potent potables at the Polar Pub.

If you go, belly up to the bar and take note of the decor. You'll see vintage signs and postcards from ski resorts across the country, along with a collection of antique sleds, skis, ice skates and snowshoes.

I see a set of antique Northland skis, a few old wooden Davos German sleds (one with a curved 'rams head' front), a set of vintage wooden and rawhide Tubbs snowshoes, a set of Lund downhill skis c. 1920's, a vintage Canadian toboggan, some American flexible flyer sleds, the list goes on and on. I have always been fascinated with Disney's ability to transform even something as plain as a refreshment hut into a wonder of winters past.
